Last week I got my whole fleet into fully operational condition by putting a new motor into the 450.
The joy didn't last long when in the second flight, a ball link popped off.
450-autos are best enjoyed with both blades... damage: skids and missing linkage rod

Since I didn't want to break my 700 before the competitions yesterday, I practised with the 600. Until the V-Bar broke down. Damage: none (which was extremely lucky), the V-Bar is on its way back to Germany.

After having several ESC cutouts from overheat, the 700 electric worked quite OK at Röylä with the ESC in a location with more airflow. But the joy didn't last long when it lost the pinion in mid-flight. Fortunately, I had a new pinion, just in time for F3C yesterday. Where it quit in the middle of the first round with a stripped main gear.

The 550 did not break down. But all the LiPos are puffing, maybe they are old, maybe because of the heat. It's pretty useless for serious flying (tictocs etc) until temperatures come down.

So that left me with the 700 nitro. Almost as a surprise, it lasted to the end of yesterday's competition. Only a broken glowplug, and to make it more interesting, a broken glowplug starter as well (try to get it off without the wire..). But then, as everybody could hear clearly, the motor bearings are finally busted. Of course!

I hate this hobby  ;D
