Both my Outrage 550 and the T-Rex 600 got a Mikado V-Bar ("mini" and standard).
The 550 is amazing, very accurate. Unfortunately, my flying is not - will have to relearn a thing or two with FBL.
Also the 600 is pretty good, but there is still room for improvement. It's perfectly flyable - probably better than it used to be with FB, but there is still too much wobble, when recovering from flips / rolls.

Usually I don't care too much about looks. But I really like the clean wiring with those two.
The mini V-Bar is directly connected to two satellite receivers. So there isn't any receiver as such. The 600 runs unregulated from 2s, except rudder and throttle.

So now you don't have a spare heli for FAI anymore.
 
BTW: Did you try cracking?  On anotherday we noticed with Jyri that his FBL protos didn't crack at all. It just seemed to ignore the crackers attemps.

that is a problem, yes...
Fortunately  ;D I have enough leftover parts including a spare 550 kit.
So I could build one more heli, if the F3C bug bites me... .30 class rules  :)

All over all, I think it is fast enough. I have to play with the "anti-oscillation filter", maybe even turn it off.

FAI/CIAM have some proposals for FBL usage and power limit 51V

Now the proposals are from late 2008? I wonder how long this might take.
Equal weight limit (with fuel / with batteries), no limits on combustion engines and no limits on gyros makes all sense to me.

Right now, I'm convinced that also my 700 will lose its flybar. It's only a question of time, but I think I'll wait for the next "generation" of devices.
A full-size V-bar with satellite Rxes and channel 6/7 outputs would be nice...
