Any idea what happened to this pinion??
There is 1/2 mm of metal missing (where the hex key points to). The bearing sits tight in the frame - I changed it anyway.
Total flight time maybe 8 gallons.

There bearing in frame just in that place, it is better to check that too ;). By the way, put green or red loctite to that place. I thing you have heard some noise, when you start your Raptor, because of that "missing metal" between pinion and bearing ::)

Yes, it is worn out under the bearing. I have read that in some cases the whiole bearing has too much space inside the frame and moves, but mine was tight.
Funny noises, yes, I noticed when it comes to a stop.
